Far & Away & Back Again (Part II)

And the second part....there will be more. It seems to be easier that way.

We visited our dear friends, Bill & Isobel Scott soon after we arrived.
This was one of the non-motorway roads on the way to Inverness. Gorgeous.

Big mountain....little car...not sure which.
Panoramic view. I didn't know I was going to be in it until it was too late.

Some of the narrower roads with passing lanes. (Phone booth half way down)

Walking out to a historical monument.

They will sometimes feed the sheep turnips. Kinda looks like they are munching on rocks from a distance, but nope, they are turnips.

Far & Away & Back Again (Part I)

Bert and I make it back safely from the UK. It was General Assembly time in Scotland, and we had a great time. It has become an annual trip for us, and we are very thankful to be have been able to go as many times. It was very much a blessing to spend time with our dear friends there. Thanks to you all, for you generocity and friendship and fellowship!
We did take quite a few pics. Sadly forgot to bring the camera out for several visits, but since there are so many, we will do a couple of post.
The 'must do' airport shot.

Bagels....the perfect airport food fair. Yum!

The flight was perfect. No ash clouds bothered us and we slept most of the way on the overnight flight. This was to prove just how new our little rental car was. Yay, kind fun!

The man with the 5 O'Clock shadow...

We attended the prayer meeting at the Knightswood Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) , in Glasgow. It was great to hear a word of encouragment from Rev. Willie MacLeod.
Afterwards we dropped by the Tinderbox Coffee House off of Byers Road. I put in an aplication to work there when we lived in Glasgow.....but welder must not have ranked that high on coffee barista skills.
Sorry for that one Bert, but I like it!
