Just for kicks, what are the gas prices are in your area?
We were just at the pump this afternoon and it was 99.9 pence a liter. That would be about $7.58 a gallon USD and $2.50 a liter Australian dollar.
But then I can get haggis anytime I want... :)

We filled the truck with diesel today and it was $2.59 a gallon in Harrison and $2.69 in Yellville.
That is a huge difference. Do they pay 4 times as much in wages also?
Gas is around $2.50/gallon out here in Arizona, but there is no way, no how, that I could be eating haggis around here, even if I wanted to!
We filled up in Rock Valley, IA at $2.49 a gallon this week and I have no idea what a haggis is, so pretty much have never had one but sounds like I might like them!!!
Augh, we had Haggis went we where there. Correct me if I'm wrong,Kryna, but Haggis is a meat made up of unknown things, which is a good thing, as you may not want to try if it was known. And it is usually serve as a special meal on a special holiday. Much as turkey on Thanksgiving. And it must be served with potatoes and mashed turnips. It was all very good and I would do it again.
Kryna, I'm sure you could explain better than I so lets have it.
Ok, I guess I'll stop my whining and crying about how much we spend on fuel in a week. And about that hagis.. well I'm sure its wonderful but you know how squeamish I am.
Eric was complaining because we are heading back up to $3.00 a gallon in WA...but by the looks of your nice compact car and ours big 'ol Suburban that hauls around our brood, it may be a wash! :)
I spend about $30 week for gas up here to me to and from school. I figure that working 3 hours or so per every week to pay for transportation is a pretty good trade-off. I've gotten kind of used to my moblity. adr
Becky, I think you are right! I don't know what will happen to this car when we try to put a couple of car seats and some strollers in the back.
And about the haggis, Mom did pretty good on the explanation....nobody really knows what it is. :) Just kidding! But it is pretty good.
Kryna,
Uncle Bob and Aunt Dee were reading your blog and said they would pay any amount for gas as long as they didn't have to eat Haggis again. :)
I've heard that it's sort of a sausage thing made out of a sheep's internal organs minced up and baked inside the stomach bag.
Is that true?
Please say it isn't true?
Ok, when in doubt, go to the WEB
Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish. Although there are many recipes, it is normally made with the following ingredients: sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately an hour. It somewhat resembles stuffed intestines (pig intestines otherwise known as chitterlings), sausages and savoury puddings of which it is among the largest types
There, does that clear it up? Put a little salt and pepper on it and you are good to go, Right? Anyway, I ain't goin nowhere, cuz gas prices here are $3.05. I win.
