I looked at the calander today, and relised it has been a year to date that we were in Scotland. Wow. Time has flown by, lots has happened. alot has stayed the same. The computer I was using when we were in Scotland was a little flaky, thus the lack of pictures at the time. Here is a smattering of shots we took in the last couple of weeks we were there.

The church (foreground), and manse (background) we stayed in while we were on the Isle of North Uist.

Someone etched "Eternity Oh Eternity" in the corner stone rocks on the fence just outside of the church.

My little office over the freezer.
Covering his tracks at we 'moved' out of the manse.

The Post Office/General Store just down the road from the manse.

North Uist boasts many of the traditional Scottish thatched houses. Quite a number are still lived in these days. But there are also many ruins of the stone walls that mark where the houses once stood. The above picture is the front of the house. The picture below is the rear side of the same house.

There were tons of these along the roadside as well. I am not sure what they were. Something to do with fishing?

A look over the country side on North Uist.

Lindsey MacCallum (left) and Rev. John Keddies when we met up with them for lunch on the Isle of Skye.

The very adorable tea top Mrs. Keddie gave me when stayed at their home on the Ilse of Skye.

The last picture Bert took before we just about missed our ferry. A few muffler problems were the real blame for the tight squeeze of schedule. (also on the Isle of Skye)

The streets of Aberdeen.

A misty morning on the way down from Assynt.

The ruins of Ardvrech Castle
(A plaque proudly declared it "15th Century Seat of the MacLeods of Assynt")

Bert checking out all the angles.

A look over Richy Ross's home in Scourie where we stayed for a couple of days. It was very far north and oh so beautiful.

This was ( am pretty sure:) between Achnasheen and Lochcarron.

And these are our dear friends Donald and Betty MacKey in Glasgow.

Just filed a lot of these pictures under Scotland. Love to see them and all your travels.
Great photos.
We really loved Scotland. Hope we can visit there again someday.
Think that is the first time I have ever seen B with a vacuum in hand.
Lovely! I'm so glad I got to see you while you were there. Can't wait to go back sometime. Also, I feel bad for the cow that helped create that misty photo! :-) adr
Awesome pics = thanks!
Very cool. I never got to see much of your life in the UK. It looks awesome as do most things from afar. I'm so glad you live closer now, but I'd love to go visit it all with you someday, even if we have gray hair.
very nice pic's you are very lucky to have that experience!
breath taking!!!! Thanks for posting them!!!
I love what you guys do with a camera! Just gorgeous. Cal is planning to go on a mission trip to Scotland and England this summer...if he can come up with the money! He's all excited! He needs to get a good camera before he goes...I don't think I'd trust him with mine...
Cool pictures, thanks for sharing these. Isn't it amazing how time just seems to fly by!
