Out and About

Ok, I am not sure what is happening with my blogger here, but I can't move the pictures or the text. So here it goes, they are in no order what so ever. The Scotland pictures are mixed in with the France pictures and the text that explains it all is very close to the bottom. Very sorry! If I don't post it now, I might never get it done!

In the Louvre...

Kinda cute to see all the suited business people on mopeds...

A real restaurant...

In the Notre Dame...

Random delivery mopeds....

Sharing his lunch....

The artist square in Montmartre. The artiste were very good at sketching portraits.

I fell in love the the Vespa scooters...

Old drinking fountains...

Street show....

Antique market not far from the hotel...

By night...

Busy artist...

On top the hill at Arther's Seat in Edinburgh, Scotland after the GA finished Thursday night....

Bill and Isobel Scott (He was the Moderator this GA) Beautiful couple and dear friends.

Another portrait artist...

On the streets of Montmartre...

Random cool place. The gold thing in the center was a guy that dresses up as a statue and you can pay him to get your picture taken with him....we didn't..... :)

Our little motel...

The bus just about took Bert out....the streets are pretty tight...

Nutella crepe maker, yum...

Outside the Louvre...

A rat exterminator shop. You can see dead rats hanging in the window. Interesting...

Outdoor book selling stalls along the Seine River...

Notre Dame...

Crepe and espresso. The little cafes almost all have little tables and chairs out by the curb. Both chairs face the road and you can just watch the people go by. Very fun.

On the D'Orsay Museum... (large selection of impressionist paintings.)

At the Rodin Museum....Bert has always been a big fan. (who knew?:)

More of the Louvre, Bert is a out in that crowd...a reward to the person who can identify him...

From the Eiffel Tower...

Upscale department store. It is all one store. They had a great viewing deck of Paris on the roof...

Arc De Triomphe....

Romanian band in the tunnels of the Metro...
(if you want to listen, click here)

No idea what this was all about...
____________

We have been goofing off again! Bert and I took off for the past couple of weeks and just returned on Monday. It was a blast!
The first part was spent in Paris, and the second part in Scotland. I had found a great deal on tickets that went through France so we had spend a couple days! It was great fun and we have a ton of pictures.

Our time in Scotland was wonderful too. Unfortunately we didn't take nearly as many pictures there. Bert's camera is a little too big to pull out durring the middle of the GA, but we were able to spend time with many dear friends. We are so thankful to be able to see them all again from time to time.

Now I have a way too many pictures to post, and I really shoudln't post this many. (If you get board, I am very sorry! This is kind of a slap dash post, cause I really am supposed to be editing the wedding and two engagement sessions that we took two days before we left for Europe.) So here it goes....
The hotel...
Again, so sorry about the mess.

Oh to be young again. You stay so up beat-but I sure miss it when you don't blog. Not near often enough.

Sure took some great pictures. Good thing you don't put them all in photo books anymore-or your house would sink into the ground because of there weight.

You are the luckiest little girl I know--traveling the world over..

I love that bird you've caught in flight and the vespa with the full reflection in the puddle!! I hope the selfportrait outside the notre dame was a crop as you've fit it in rather well. Telescope on the Eiffel Tower looks great too.
