They are only hub caps. What could be so hard about putting on a set of hub caps? They came off pretty easily. Three in the last four weeks. Surely they should go on as easily as well!
Wonder of wonders, I actually read the instructions on the box before starting. Don’t know what came over me…it doesn’t happen very often.
It said "Fitting Instructions: Prior to fitting your ‘wheel trims’, you must fit one metal tension ring to each trim." Piece of cake. Done.
"Assembly …"…tells you how you should have fitted the metal tension rings. Oh dear. Note to self: always read all of the instructions before you begin.
In the end, the tension rings were fitted correctly but there was no way the trims wold fit into our rims. Bert was wondering if we should have gotten the 12 inch ones. I don’t think they make them for golf carts….
The only thing is that maybe the rust has expanded the rims on our chariot. We know that rust is a small problem. That is the reason the tires keep leaking. The tire man was laughing when he showed me a rust hole the width of my pinky on one of our old rims. We chucked that one.
I may have to Flinstone it to the airport on Saturday. We have very special guest coming! Yippee!
